Kenneth Compres is the CISO at Hillsborough community college. Also serves as an associate professor of Cyber security at Mercy College and SecureSet academy. At Bloomfield College, He serves as the subject matter expert for curriculum development for Cyber security and information assurance and security programs. He developed the current Disaster recovery plan for the Department of veteran’s affairs in New York harbor, New York.
Compres has developed several “code behind” for security monitoring at the VA hospital in New York, and several research publications in IEEE (IT Governance, Compliance and Auditing Curriculum–A Pedagogical Perspective) in conjunction with developing the integration module of FireEye and ForeScout, to create an intelligent automated system of early detection and remediation. One that can reduce the TCO, by taking automated action between indicators of compromise and network isolation. FireEye the leading cyber security research firm a (MANDIANT) company has featured Mr. Compres in development implementation publications, as well ForeScout Network access control systems and Fortinet Next Generation Firewalls. He is the leading instructor for SecureSet academy, a research school dedicated to cyber security exploits and training, instructing newcomers into the art of ethical hacking.
Mr. Compres holds Two masters degrees, one in Digital forensics from the University of South Florida, another Master’s of Science with a concentration on Cyber Security from mercy college New York, and a Dr. Sc in cyber security. He is also Certified Ethical hacker, CE|H, GIAC GLSC, FCNSA, FCNSE, CCENT, Network+ and Security+, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer science from Dakota State University. Kenneth Compres has been a guest speaker in New York’s Security in the Workplace (2010, 2011), FireEye, ForeScout, Fortinet, and ThreatStop, as well as SANS.org the leading cyber security institution and research organization.
